Rock bands have been dabbling with synthesizers for years, but it’s always really great when bands have dedicated synth players. Belgium’s Goose are doing a great job, kind of like a synth Franz Ferdinand. Their record Bring It On came out last year, and the title track is one of my favorite things lately.

While Jackie and I were discussing how much we like the name Goose, she mentioned that their name could be taken as a reference to Duck, Duck, Goose - implying that they are “it.” Their site has a great videos section, but here’s my fave, for the song “Low Mode”
